Education
I’m a humanities gal who took some unexpected turns. After graduating with a BA in Anthropology from UW-Milwaukee in 1999, I eventually decided to go to school for massage just to have something I enjoyed doing whilst figuring out what I wanted to be when I grew up. I graduated from Lakeside School of Massage Therapy in September 2004 and worked at Healing Hands Therapy Center in Wauwatosa for about eleven years. During that time, I went back to school at UWM and added a BA in English and Psychology with a Biology minor in 2010. Due to my bff’s suggestion, I looked into Physical Therapy and was accepted into UWM’s program, graduating with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2015. I am a big fan of learning and take regular continuing education classes in both physical and massage therapy.
Employment
I have had a LOT of jobs. So many. Beyond the Healing Hands massage job, the most relevant are a couple of years doing PT contract jobs, primarily in Skilled Nursing Facilities, followed by five years in Home Health Care. I was well into my “disillusioned with the traditional healthcare system” phase when Hillary Jackson of Cream City PT and Wellness found and rescued me. I worked for Hillary as an independent contractor starting in January 2022 and, with her blessing, have gone completely independent in the same location with Recombobulation Bodywork starting September 2024.
